Jesus Loves Me

By Paul

Day 1 — Jesus Welcomes Me

Scripture: Mark 10:14 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.”

What It Means:
Imagine you are standing in a crowd and everyone seems bigger, louder, and more important than you. Jesus would still notice you. When people tried to keep children away from Him, Jesus said to let them come. Children were not a distraction to Jesus. They mattered to Him.

You never have to wonder whether you are too little to come to Jesus. You can talk to Him when you are happy, sad, silly, confused, or afraid.

Talk About It:
If Jesus were sitting beside you right now, what would you want to tell Him?

Try This Today:
Find a quiet place and tell Jesus one thing that made you happy today and one thing that was hard.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for welcoming children. Thank You that I am never too little for You. Help me remember that I can always come to You. Amen.

Day 2 — Jesus Knows Me

Scripture: John 10:14 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”

What It Means:
A good shepherd knows his sheep. Jesus used that picture to show how personally He cares for His people. He knows more than your name. He knows what makes you laugh, what makes you nervous, what you are learning, and what you need help with.

Sometimes children feel unnoticed, especially when grown-ups are busy. Jesus is never too busy to know you.

Talk About It:
What is something about you that you are glad Jesus knows?

Try This Today:
Say your name out loud and then say, “Jesus knows me and cares for me.”

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for knowing me. You know my thoughts, my feelings, and everything about my day. Help me trust Your care. Amen.

Day 3 — Jesus Is My Friend

Scripture: John 15:15 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends.”

What It Means:
A good friend listens, stays close, and wants what is good for you. Jesus called His disciples friends. Friendship with Jesus does not mean we treat Him casually. He is still our Lord and King. But it does mean we can know Him, trust Him, and enjoy being close to Him.

You can talk to Jesus while you play, ride in the car, get ready for school, or lie in bed.

Talk About It:
What makes someone a good friend?

Try This Today:
Do one kind thing for a friend or family member because Jesus has shown kindness to you.

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for letting me know You. Teach me to listen to You, trust You, and be a good friend to others. Amen.

Day 4 — Jesus Cares When I Worry

Scripture: 1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

What It Means:
Maybe you worry about being away from Mom or Dad, going somewhere new, hearing a loud noise, making a mistake, or someone you love being sick. God does not tell you to pretend you are never worried. He invites you to give those worries to Him.

You can tell Jesus exactly what is bothering you. You do not need fancy words.

Talk About It:
Is there anything making your heart feel worried today?

Try This Today:
Hold your hands closed like you are holding your worry. Tell Jesus what it is, then open your hands as a reminder that you are giving it to Him.

Prayer:
Jesus, You know what I am worried about. I give this worry to You. Help me remember that You care for me. Amen.

Day 5 — Jesus Is With Me

Scripture: Matthew 28:20 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

What It Means:
There are times when you may feel alone even when other people are nearby. Jesus promised His followers that He would be with them. We cannot see Him with our eyes the way the disciples did, but He has not forgotten us.

At school, at home, at the doctor, in the dark, or on a new adventure, you can remember: Jesus is with me.

Talk About It:
Where do you sometimes feel lonely or nervous?

Try This Today:
When you enter a place that feels difficult, quietly say, “Jesus, thank You for being with me.”

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for staying with me. When I feel alone, remind me that You have not left me. Amen.

Day 6 — Jesus Gives Me Peace

Scripture: John 14:27 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you.”

What It Means:
Peace does not mean everything around us is always quiet or easy. Sometimes the house is noisy, plans change, or our feelings get big. Jesus gives a deeper peace that helps us trust Him even when things are not perfect.

When your body feels tense or your thoughts are racing, you can stop and remember Jesus.

Talk About It:
What helps your body slow down when you feel upset?

Try This Today:
Take three slow breaths. Each time, whisper, “Jesus, give me Your peace.”

Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for Your peace. Help my heart become quiet and help me trust You when things feel hard. Amen.

Day 7 — I Can Follow Jesus

Scripture: Luke 9:23 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

What It Means:
Following Jesus happens in everyday choices. For a child, that can look like telling the truth when it is hard, sharing, obeying, forgiving, including someone who is left out, or saying sorry.

We do not follow Jesus so He will love us more. We follow Him because He already loves us and He is worthy to be followed.

Talk About It:
What is one way you can follow Jesus today?

Try This Today:
Choose one act of kindness or obedience and do it without being asked twice.

Prayer:
Jesus, I want to follow You. Help me choose what is right, love people, and listen to Your Word. Amen.
