God Made the World

By Paul

Day 1 — God Made Everything

Scripture: Genesis 1:1 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

What It Means:
Before there were playgrounds, puppies, oceans, trees, planets, or people, God was already there. The Bible begins by telling us that God created the heavens and the earth.

Creation belongs to Him.

Talk About It:
If you could thank God for one thing He made, what would it be?

Try This Today:
Look out a window or go outside. Point to five things in creation and say, “God made that.”

Prayer:
Creator God, thank You for making the heavens and the earth. Help me see Your greatness in the world around me. Amen.

Day 2 — God Made Light

Scripture: Genesis 1:3 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”

What It Means:
God spoke, and light appeared. Every sunrise can remind us of the power of the Creator.

Light helps us see where we are going. The Bible also uses light as a picture of God's truth and goodness.

Talk About It:
What do you like about sunshine or light?

Try This Today:
When you turn on a light, say, “Thank You, God, for light.”

Prayer:
God, thank You for creating light. Help me love what is true and good. Amen.

Day 3 — God Made Animals

Scripture: Genesis 1:25 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.”

What It Means:
Think about how different animals are — elephants, ants, whales, dogs, butterflies, lions, birds, and tiny frogs. Creation is full of variety.

Animals can remind us how creative and wise God is.

Talk About It:
What is your favorite animal, and what is interesting about it?

Try This Today:
Watch an animal outside or look at a picture of one and notice three details about how God made it.

Prayer:
God, thank You for all the animals You created. Help me care for living things with gentleness. Amen.

Day 4 — God Made Me

Scripture: Psalm 139:14 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”

What It Means:
Your fingerprints, laugh, hair, eyes, personality, and growing body are not reasons to compare yourself with everyone else. You are a person made in God's world with dignity and value.

You will have strengths and weaknesses, just like everyone else. You do not have to be exactly like another child to matter.

Talk About It:
What is something about the way God made you that you are thankful for?

Try This Today:
Instead of comparing yourself with someone else, name one thing you appreciate about them and one thing you appreciate about yourself.

Prayer:
God, thank You for making me. Help me be thankful for who I am and kind toward people who are different from me. Amen.

Day 5 — Creation Tells Us About God

Scripture: Psalm 19:1 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.”

What It Means:
A night sky full of stars can make us feel very small — and remind us how great God is. Creation does not tell us everything we need to know about God, but it points beyond itself to its Creator.

The Bible helps us know the God who made the stars.

Talk About It:
What part of creation makes you say, “Wow”?

Try This Today:
Look at the sky for one minute with no screens and simply notice what you see.

Prayer:
God, Your creation is amazing. Help me see Your glory and want to know You more through Your Word. Amen.

Day 6 — God Cares for His Creation

Scripture: Matthew 6:26 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them.”

What It Means:
Jesus pointed to birds to teach people about the Father's care. If God notices birds, you can be sure that you are not invisible to Him.

This does not mean we always get everything we want. It means our heavenly Father knows our needs and invites us to trust Him.

Talk About It:
What do birds need every day? What are some things you need every day?

Try This Today:
When you see a bird, let it remind you to thank God for His care.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for caring for Your creation and for knowing what I need. Help me trust You. Amen.

Day 7 — I Can Praise My Creator

Scripture: Psalm 150:6 (KJV)

Full Scripture (KJV):
“Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.”

What It Means:
You do not need to be an adult to praise God. Children can worship Him with songs, prayers, obedience, gratitude, creativity, and joyful hearts.

The Creator who made the world is worthy of our praise.

Talk About It:
What is your favorite way to praise God?

Try This Today:
Sing a worship song, draw something God made, or say a prayer of praise.

Prayer:
Creator God, You are wonderful. Thank You for the world You made and for giving me life. Help me praise You with my words and my choices. Amen.
