Following Christ means seeking God’s approval above people’s approval.

Loading KJV Scripture…

It is easy to shape our choices around what other people think of us. We may want approval, recognition, or acceptance. But Paul reminds us that following Christ means our first concern is pleasing God.

This does not mean we become careless about others or ignore wise advice. It means that God’s truth has the final word. When our decisions are rooted in His Word, we can live with greater freedom instead of constantly wondering whether everyone approves of us.

Today, ask yourself: Am I making this choice because it honours God, or because I am afraid of what people will think?

Reflection

Is there an area of my life where I am seeking people’s approval more than God’s?

Prayer

Lord, help me desire Your approval above the approval of people. Give me courage to follow Your Word faithfully, even when it is difficult. Let my choices reflect my love for You. Amen.
